Thinking of introducing swan mussels into my ST. Will they pick up enough food in there to live?

Suppose they would get more food that way.

Yep - if you put 'em in the ST, they're getting the water filtered by the GB, whereas in the FT they're right there at the source

Mussels found in rivers in the United Kingdon. Buy them on eBay.

Creeghduff is living in Northern Ireland MacGyver - nothing to do with the Swan River.

I have muscles in my FT. They are huge and doing well.
I initially had 4, for the last two months, and have introduced 6 more, yesterday.

In the FT is best, I think. :D

I remeber collecting buckets of mussles as a kid from the gulgie stream in Kwinana. Used to walk along the stream and feel for them with our toes. That was 32 years ago though... Not sure if I would trust them these days or if it even exists.

Mmmmm bugger... Got a few from the aquarium shop, bloody expensive and they wouldn't give up the supplier. Maybe they will breed.

They're probably the mussel from over east - the WA ones are none too common.
