yep - and he uses it quite effectively

that was my thinking as well

guess the originals are/were recycled rubber or something and the chinese knockoffs plastic based.
also wonder how UV resistant they are.

Has anyone tried polyethylene foam floating raft? (33-100kg/m3)
Would it be a better alternative to Styrofoam?

This plastic stuff is awesome. It cleans easily, will last a long time. It was a bit difficult to drill but once you get the hang of it, not too bad. Will NEVER use foam again if I can avoid it.

This looks great! Do you think you'd be able to apply the flood and drain technique to this set up successfully instead of having a 1" air gap?
