Post subject:  Tilapia and food in southern Ontario

I’m looking to break down my system. Was roughly 300 gallons. I have maybe 20 tilapia in sizes ranging from 4 to 10 inches. I also have a ton of 3mm pellets. Anyone interested in some of this? Doesn’t have to take all.

Why are you planning to break down your system? Are you planning to do some upgrade or change of species?

The system is in my basement and I LOVED building and maintaining it. There were a couple minor issues such as ceiling height preventing larger plants. A small phosphate deficiency that I never got around to treating. My wife says there is a fishy odour to the house. I finally harvested some tilapia the other day. It was super awesome and they were DELICIOUS.

But it really comes down to I’m not enjoying it as much as I used to. It’s more of a chore to maintain now and I don’t want my hobbies to feel that way.
