OK girls and boys, here is the brand new seed swapping topic.

I'd like to keep it as organised as possible so;

Post what you have available &/or are looking for

If you would like to take someone up on their generous offer or have what they are looking for PM them.

I'm not sure if general users can edit posts after a reply has been posted, but if you can then do edit your original listings when you have more seeds available or no longer available. (If you find that you can't edit your post then PM me with a copy of the original messgage and what page number it appeared on and i can make the change for you)

I might be a bit of a nazi on this thread just to keep it really functional, so don't take it personally if i PM you about moving a post.

LET THE SEED SHARING BEGIN

Alright, I have some heirloom tomato seeds up for grabs...

I bought these before last summer when I grew over 40 different varieties, I still have a few seeds of each left but this year I'm not going to be growing so many and I figure it's better to spread them to others rather than leave the seeds ungrown...

You can look up most of the varieties here for further info:
http://www.heirloomtomatoes.bizland.com/varieties.htm

Paul Robeson
Creole
German Johnson
Cherokee chocolate
Matts wild cherry
Floridale
Anna Russian
Old German
Camp Joy
Black Krim
Isoplin
Kazahk
Black Cherry
Purple smudge
Green Zebra
Pink Brandy wine
Duke
Ponderosa Red
Cherokee purple
Aunt Ruby's Green
Pineapple
Mortgage lifter
San Marzano
Cherry cocktail
Yellow pear
Amish Paste
Rouge de Mamande
oxheart

Anyone interested send me a PM....

That's a lotta varieties Joel. I have a couple of ones you haven't listed that I can add:

- Broad Ripple Current
- Tommy Toe
- Lecase Di Apulia

Will check out what I have generally and post at a later time. Might talk to you about some strategies for running a successful exchange Steve. Have seen them many times before running into trouble - there are some common problems.

Great idea but we need to be aware of the large number of restrictions on sending seeds across to WA and TAS. Many companies like Eden Seeds and Green Harvest will not send to WA or TAS.

cheers
Derek

I am looking for any sort of sweetner plant... I have a good student who has just reciently been diagnosed with diabetes (which is why I show so much interest in stivia!)...
Any other kinds of sweetening plants(or seeds) out there that diabetics can use?

AM - sorry mate I can't stand it any longer. It's Stevia, not Stivia.

AM, stevia would be my choice, as it is reported to actually activly aid in treatment (dirty word, hope the TGA doesn't read this) of diabetes, not just as a sugar replacement.

I might move some of these posts to a specific topic, i'd like to keep this topic very succinct. I'll leave your original request though, AM

Oh yes I remember them Johnny, string beans they were called. Heavy croppers and can be eaten raw or cooked according to age.

Yum!
