Hello Everyone
I was wondering if anyone has a good economical way of testing plants or water to see what nutrient is defficient in the Aquaponic system. I know that we can look at the leaves to see what is going on but that is not a very accurate way because alot of deficiencies look alike.
My other question is how do people dose their systems? I have been dosing my system when the Ph level drops to about 6.7. I add either Potasium Carbonate or Calcium Carbonate 30 to 40 grams to raise the Ph to 7-7.5 I look at the leaves and compare it to a book "Nutritional Disorders in Glasshouse tomatoes, cuccumbers, and lettuce" by J.P.N.L Roorda van Eysinga & K.W.Smilde. This is not a very accurate way to run a system.
Thanks for your insights.
