[Hi for how long does one have to run a Aquaponics System before starting to plant my vegetables?

plant straight away. You can keep plants ticking along on liquid seaweed fertiliser and use that to cycle.
Dont put in too much ammonia because plants don't like it.
My preference would be to use a urea based liquid fertiliser to do the cycling - plants will be happy then as well.
IMO Don't bother with pure ammonia, pee ponics etc.

AP system will go for months on just liquid fertiliser and grow vegies just fine.

I gather the inent is to cycle without fish - if so do your reading and make sure you are doing tests etc.
When you first start do not put in too much => #1 issue for most newbies.
AP systems can take a few days for numbers like ammonia etc to read true.

Also provide some pictures of your system.
always easier to fix or amend things before you get too far down the track and definitely before you add fish.

Yeah, about 5 minutes to make sure everything works.
