Post subject:  Help! My plants are not growing....

I am new to aquaponics started my aquaponics system 1 month ago.

I have no problem in germinate the seed and transfer it to the growbed.

Here is my issue,
On the first 2 weeks the vege growth slowly (Due to the new system the nitrogen cycle isn't completed) so i patiently monitoring the plant.
On the 3rd week the plant growth started to accelerate (new leaves growing and fast).
But on the 4th week the plant doesn't seem to grow at all and the leaves started to turn yellow.
I checked online and it stated that lack of Iron therefore I added 1 teaspoon if Iron powder in to the filter.
but i still can't figure out why the plant are not growing at all.
Furthermore, my fish doesn't seem to be eating too.

I have no idea what mistake i have done. Hope able to get some help.

Below are my current status of the system.
pH 6.5
Ammonia 1ppm (my brother changed 50% of the water as he thinks this may help the fish to start eating)
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 20ppm

you probably have not fully cycled - or over-stocked with fish - or both,
1 ppm ammonia is too high, after 50% water change even worse... fish most likely completely stressed.
warm temps + ammonia = not ideal. Also depends on how many fish and how much oxygen.
lack of DO will add to the issue for plants, bacteria establishment (cycling) and fish.

need some indication of your setup and maybe some pictures.
instructions here > viewforum.php?f=4

plants dont like high ammonia....
plants also don't like water right up their roots - how far down is your water level ?

how much wet media do you have and how many fish.

most likely have tried to do too much too quickly. instead of giving the system time to get properly cycled and settled before putting in (too many?) fish. The other (based on many new people posting here) would most likely relate to the setup - but without further information it is hard to assess that.
