They're not easy to come by for free, wineries are one source however.

I keep walking past these wondering what I could make out of them. Pretty big for $15

Have tried some wineries and am constantly trolling gumtree and eBay but the cheapest I can find is around $60 with the average sitting at about $100. It's quite frustrating!

$60 seems like a fair price for an IBC I doubt you'll do much better unless you know someone who'll do you a favour

Another idea is looking for a complete system via gumtree not often but they do pop up. We bought a system in Adelaide 18 months ago,
6 IBC,
4 x 2400 x 900 growbeds,
3000L/H pump $500.00

borrowed large!!! trailer drove 8 hours picked it up back again bargain.... now its all in storage while we shift into smaller house and yard for awhile.

and that was just a chance browse, was looking for something else.

Found this on gumtree for anyone interested. I missed it earlier as I was only searching for IBC's. Note to self: change your search words every now and again and it's amazing what you find!
1000 lt containers $25 - $80

I figured I should post it here as well:

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/elizabet ... 1135385360?

It's one of my old growbeds. It's in need of a coat of pond liner paint to seal it again, but overall good. Free to any forum member, it's just taking up space.

Anyone here know where I can get cheap bulkhead fittings or uniseals? I'm struggling to find anything cheap (or are they all normally expensive?) :dontknow:

I wanted some IBC's for a goldie breeding mk3 experiment next spring, don't know where I'd store them in the meantime though. And getting them home would be painful.

Bunnings have free trailer hire.
Go buy one 35x90 x6m length timber, use their trailer and pick up IBC at same time.

I had 3 IBC on a 6x4 trailer once ....was and interesting little ride the one on top was very well lashed down

I lack a towbar :(

And the house in the hills would be nice. Very nice.

I'm planning on several IBC's, same green water, but different varieties/age in each tub. Should be more managable to keep track of them in half IBC's.

Towbars huh who needs a towbar? Did you see the pic on the news recently in Adelaide where a wally had a 6x4 trailer with a watertank loosely tied on and the trailer hitch was held onto toball with a strap.
