I have a system 30 miles SW of FtW. It's almost 3 weeks old, just almost cycled (due to addition of aquarium water and muck.) It's small, but is working so well that we started on system #2 yesterday. While digging a hole for the tank my husband hit a water main and we had quite a fountain in our back yard for awhile.

If you ever head up to the D/FW area just PM me ahead of time. You are very welcome to see what we are doing.

just got my permit ok ed for the greenhouse the city said its ok. The wire and vinyl goes up on the roof today then the grow beds go in. Then the plumbing is done. I'm a week or 10 days away from putting gravel in and adjusting flow. Sure seems slow to me but I guess its o.k.

Hey Ken, I have been in AP for 3 years now and have been doing it in El Salvador, Central America. I have many systems in the community where I live. Anyway, My father-in-law lives in Sweetwater and I put in a Catfish system for him last year while in the US. I, along with my family will be arriving at DFW on the 22nd of May and will be in the area for about 2 weeks. If you are near I-20 or 360 I would love to see what you have and try to help inspire my father-in-law who is also in his late 70's and in need of an occasional hand. Would that be a possibility?

It counts mate... and I hope you believe it when you see it...

Although you may not realise and grasp the full benefits until you build a bigger flood & drain or raft system...

Welcome...

Good to see I'm not alone here in Texas.
I'm just starting my research. I'm moveing in the fall (still Texas of course) so I'm probably not going to start building anything untill after the move.

Texas Kem has been at it for 3 months and I think I'm there, fish tanks, dump tanks and 6 grow bedes are ready. My dump tank is 250 gallons so have to think differenty then a lot of folks because of size. (But in Texas everything is bigger). Will have pictures as soon as my daughter in law shows me how to put on this machine.

Yep lots of people in TX. But it's such a big place! Heck there are even lots of APers in FL but still too spread out that I've only met a couple of them in person! (But I'm finding more to bring into the group all the time.)
