Greetings Aquaponics Community!! :D
I am very new (3 days) to this concept and am soooooo impressed and cannot wait to get started!!
At present I am researching, researching (the old measure twice, cut once routine!) researching!!
We live on a property in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I planted out some gardens when we first arrived here but old styley garden coupled with drought coupled with young family coupled with working full time equals shrinking garden providing the net result of having to buy more produce. Not good.
And so Aquaponics... I am under no illusion about the amount of work required but the benefits far outweigh the negatives.
Anyhoo, looking forward to 'speaking' to many of you in the future and sharing my experiences with the community.

All the best in all your ventures,

Sideshow Bob

hey sideshow bob..

welcome!!!!!!

good to see more sunny coasters..

if you get a chance on a saturday, there is a big set up at the permaculture house in yandina. i think they are open most saturday mornings... it is an expensive system..i would guess out of most peoples reach.. still it is worth a look.. but still worth researching here too...

look forward to seeing your progress....

Hi all, just joined.

I live in Logan, Browns Plains 4118, just south of Brissy. I have a two IBC system setup atm, with jade perch, and red claw. But am looking at expanding. Have just bought an 18 foot long greenhouse, now just have to decide on the floor plan for the new setup.

I look forward to learning heaps from others in here.
Cheers.

Studying and trying to understand how it works. Starting to put the gear together for a basic IBC system, would like to connect two together as FT and four half's as grow beds doing F and D. This would allow me to expand the grow beds with a couple more in the future. Damm aquaponics it's all about expansion even when you have not built. :dontknow:

A couple of things set me back, heart attack, and then having to wait to have my knees replaced which happened in Feb so trying to get the body back together. That's life and I always accept the good with the bad.

So I'm trying to clean out a boat/caravan port down the back which will be a good place for the system, source the material while still badgering people here about how to do it.

Enjoying going through everyone's threads and looking at any one's system who will let me. Got to keep learning, the one constant in life.

Cheers :flower:
