Sorry Hydroloz,
at the time there were perhaps 3 threads (typical) all at different levels of completeness. I believe the most recent and complete was this one: Vic Meeting - JULY

Just noticed the "Western Australia" thread of this type is getting updated, so though I'd look up the "Victoria" one only to find no update since 2008, I'm sure there are more systems through out the Big V by now so thought id give it a bump.

My system is currently 2500lt IBC setup, I live in Lancefield, 3435.

Wow last update was in 2011! Well I'm also in vic in Hamilton. Currently upgrading my indoors/outdoors sstem (3ft indoor goldfish tank, 3ft outdoor sump, 2 small growbeds) to a much bigger multi ibc system.

Gold fish including "jaws" our 25cm comet are in for a rude shock once its all up and running.

Ill be looking to try rainbows or sp's in the future once the system is up and running properly.

Cheers

pete

Hi all. I'm in Ferntree Gully.
I have built a constant flood system. One IBC for the fish tank. a swirl filter made from a plastic 45 gallon drum. One grow bed made from a fiber glass fish pond.
I have run the system for a month now with 'guinea pig' gold fish in it and some lettuce in the grow bed to wick up nitrogen. I haven't killed any fish or plants yet so i am now confident to invest in some silver perch fingerlings.
I'm keen to find someone local to me who is interested in going halves in a shipment of fingerlings. This will lower the per unit price for each of us as we would be buying in bulk. I'm also interested in meeting up with AP folks and sharing tips and experience.
