Don't like the idea of using a "natural" source ? :D

Hmmm, regulations require to provide an (almost) complete list of ingredients in food but not other products. Based on what Rupe was saying I would hesitate to put that stuff in with valuable fish.
I would think that blackngold have no real incentive to list the full ingredients...(most people don't want it)

SV..

I did 2 test's..
1 - Shake the main bottle and see if it foams up.. No Foam at all..
2 - Put 1 part volume of CA in a jar Fill with 3 part Filtered Water Shake for a minute and see if it foam's..

Well no foam at all in both test's..

I don't believe that there are any suffaciants in the mix at all..
I have actually used the same product to cycle other ponds with very sensitive fish in them..

Nothing done today..

Spent the day running from my favorite hydro/plant shop in Thornbury and the Doctor's..

I don't who it was.. But they bought most of what I wanted..
I was going to grab 12 bags of hydroton, but all they had let was 2 bag's..

But I did get some stuff I need for the raft DWC.. I got 100 1.1/2 NEt pots[100 of]
10 3" net pots..

I did get 2 bags So I should be able to get GB#4 up and running.. Plus the DWC at the same time..
I'll set a few temporary tubes to give me the ability to run GB#1 + 2 to a depth lower than What the final level will be..

I'll not plant them out yet But I will cycle the water thru them..They will need another 10cm of hydroton on top to be finished..

I'll also run another water test tomorrow..

I'm also going to make a few Isolation Cages for Baby fish..

Ok..

Got some work Done today and the last few days..
GB#4 has been filled with Scoria, I'll top it off with the hydroton tomorrow..

The interlink between GB#2 and the DWC has been plumbed in..

Plan to finish of the pump line tomorrow and might even Kick in the 8000lt Pump to see how it Goes..

Did a water test..
pH of 7.4
Am - 0.25
N-rite = 0.0
N-rate = 0.0

I'll have to re-dose the ammonia to help it along..

Well I have come across 1 problem in my design..
Because I'm gravity flowing my whole system.. Because my DWC is actually 150mm lower than the other GB's the main line feed is not working for the GB's 1-2 and 4 if the DWC is open..

So because I have the ability to feed the DWC from GB#2, I'm going to go with that to refresh the water there..

I started to plumb in the Main pump from the sump to the media filter When I ran out of Glue..
I got the pump mounted, and had 3 more fitting to put in, when I run out glue..

Topped up the water and started to cycle water from the Sumps thru GB#2 to DWC Back to the Sump..

I'll finish off the pump Line tomorrow..

I also ran the Air-lift in the SLO and managed to Drop the Water down to 37cm below normal operating depth..

well it is official, I'm not running system tonight as B's want to charge $12.00 for pressure pipe Glue..

I'm waiting till Monday to pay 1/2 the price..

BTW I had to get a few SS Nut's/bolts Washers....
B's wanted the charge $8 for 4 bolts/nut's.. no washers..

got 6 bolts/nylex nuts and washers normal+splits for $3.50..

Sorry B's have gone into my Shit List.. Absolutely Last resort for hardware..

Ok,, Sorry no Photo's tonight. But I will post tomorrow..

Great news.. I finally finished the main pump line from the Sump to the Moving media system..

So the currently water cycle is..

Fish Tank > SLO[Airlift] > Settlement chamber >>Main line>> Growbeds #1,2,4 > DWC >> Sump >Pump> Moving Media Filter >> Fish Tank.....

That is going to be my Final Water Cycle for my Main system..

- Secondary system..
I'm trying to work out how I'm going to feed them.. One being the Duckweed/Daphna tank.. and the secondary Fish Tank..

You know how to show restraint. I couldn't wait that long for the sake of $6, especially after driving all the way to the B.

I found much bigger rip of merchants then them. I went to a well known trade shop starting with R and ending in 'ece' thinking they would be cheaper than B for pressure pipe + fittings... Talk about rip off.

yeah, for 6 bucks, there is no way i would have left bunnings without that glue. but then, its an hour round trip for me, so i've already spent more than that in time and effort just getting there.

Trade shops and their prices..

Well the trade shop beginning with "R" I went there initially but laughed at their so called Trade Price's..
I go to one of their competitor's.. Much much cheaper Begins with "S"

I'm actually fairly lucky for living in a small semi rural community to have a lot of trade shops just 5-8min down the road.. it is a great area.. also the area is the hub for the region..[Hastings]

And yes in the whole construction thing $6.00 does not seem much but that is 3 trout yearling's..
1/5 a bag of hydroton when I need 13 of them..
1/4 tank of gas for the car..

IT all adds up..
I have been trying save where ever I can.. considering that that I have a huge system the more I save the better..

Well the system was cycling nicely last night, I have not checked it yet today..
I have to look at replacing the back fence now.. fun games..

Next major purchase for the system 10 bags of hydroton..
