This area has been transformed..

Image

IT has been leveled off, weed mat has been placed down and a layer of stone has been laid down..
Conditioning tank has been placed next to the Duckweed tank..

Fry Fish tank has been placed as well..

My Murray Cod have been moved into the Duckweed tank so their current home can be moved into the Area beside the New Fish tank..

Photo's tomorrow..

As Promised Photo's and a new layout..

Ok Before we go any Further..
A question.. Has anyone taken the water feed from the Fish-tank down to below ground lvl then back up to the height of the Grow-beds to feed in.. All under gravity flow..
- One thing I was going to do was to install a Clean-out on the pipe to help remove any solids from the pipe..

Image
Yes I know I forgot to add the drain line from the Fry tank and the Duckweed tank.. I even forgot to label the Duckweed tank..

Image
I dropped the Tank in place and started to Slowly Back fill the area..
I'm going to put stabilised sand around the Tank it self..
The Blue Barrel you see in the Picture is the Barrel for the Moving media Filter..

Image
The Clutter behind the side of the Garage, yes I know it Looks Like a Mess, But it is a Usable mess..
All the stuff you would hide in a Normal pond is Here..

Image
Yes I know that I have not painted all the IBC's They shall be painted.. just not right now..

Image
It might not stand out but about 1.2m from the top edge is a Black mark on the tank that is the depth that I need to fill the area..

Image
The Grow-bed Jumble.. I'll need to move them into place to work out their height's..
I also need to work out heights of the water feeds for all the Grow-beds as well..

Hope you enjoy the photo's..

More to come in the following day's..

I would think the heavier solids will start to fall back down from "up to the FT" and accumulate in the pipe work underground. :dontknow:
Keep in mind i'm still a noob at this..

I have a Settlement tank just after the Fish tank which I'm Hoping will drop Most of the Solids out of the system..

Any solids that fall in this tank shall be either moved to the Dirt Garden or they will be moved to the Grow-Bed's.. Manually..

Been busy eh snow.

Lookin good mate, if I can offer any help it would be not to bury or build in anything till you are happy with your piping and flow. Seen it screwed up too many times to remember.

Hey Charlie, I have to say you are right..

I'm afraid to Say that the one area I have to build up I need to, so I can level off the settlement tank.. I want that tank about 3-4" higher than the SLO..
I want it so that if the FT is over full the water running thru the SLO won't be dumped on the ground..

I might just build a Platform for it to sit on..

More work done today..

A few More loads of Soil Shifted to fill in dips and holes..

The frame made up to sit the SC on.. The Media filter stand has been mocked up and I'm happy with the height's I have..
I'll finish of the frame off tomorrow and then hit the hard job of the Plumbing of the SLO to the SC..

If I manage to do that I might actually start to Fill the Tank with Water.. and start it Cycling to stabilise the pH and get it ready for the fish..

More Picture tomorrow..

Yes I have, you can see it in a pic on the first page about half way down on the topic "The Big one in Surin" in my sig.

In my experience, it doesn't work as well as just running the pipe straight.
More 90 degree bends and longer pipework, extra friction etc.
You need a bit more height on the FT to get the same flow as a straight horizontal pipe to the GB.

The solids flow wasn't really a problem, fish poo is not really all that solid anyway, the problem I had was the SLO couldn't keep up with the pump, which it did with the above ground pipe to the same level (in tests)
Hope that makes sense :)

The platform is made..
The SC will sit on the main Level and the Media Filter will sit higher..

this is Roughly the height of the Media Filter..

Hope you enjoy.. Job tomorrow is to cut second hole in the top of the Tank and to start the Plumbing..

Think you could have squeezed 1 more IBC on the front of the trailer :)

Good luck with the rest of the build, looking great so far.

Dui.

Well I did a bit more today.. I made the stand for the Moving media filter..

I made the basics of the moving media filter..
- Hole drilled for Air fitting..
- Air-fitting[Bulkhead] in place..
- Air Manifold in place..
- 3" Bulkhead fitting in place.
all fitting sealed in place and waiting for the sealer to set..

Tomorrow after Lunch I hope to get a Pump running to turn over the water in the Fish Tank and Settlement chamber..

this will also be my test to see how the SLO cycle's

More photo's Tomorrow night..

Ok an update..

Sump 1 Frame in place..
and some more soil removed from the hole..
some levelling of the area around the tank..

Image
Sump Cage #1 in place

Image
I said That I had water well here is my Proof..
No fish in there yet..

Image
My Moving Media barrel.... Flow nicely..

Image
The K1 media being agitated by 70l of Air it is Boiling madly..
I actually need to tone down the amount of air the stuff is moving to well..
-- The Round Ball thing you see in the barrel is a hamster Ball, that is what stops the K1 from flowing into the Pond..

Image
To top of the SLO to give you an indication of the amount of water flowing thru it..

Image
The outflow from the SLO goes here..
About 1/2 the volume of the IBC is in the tank.. If the pump stops the lvl hit equilibrium..

Image
A nice view of the pond/Fish tank..

Some fun photo's from the small animals I saw on my travels..
