Haven't they taken over the world yet, pluggers have.

I had to look up stubbies and plungers, in American that would be Coochie Cutters or Daisy Dukes, and Flip Flops. I own a couple pairs of flip flops, but I rarely wear them. I used to run track, and those were pretty short shorts, but I rarely wear shorts and when I do, they are usually knee length or so.

Lol. Flip flops are right... I'm not so sure about daisy dukes/coochie cutters. I don't think the local tradesmen would appreciate their work pants being called that :p

I think when laddies wear tight fitting versions of stubbies or king gees then u could call them that :)

Maybe you just have arms like a certain governator! I know quite a few tradies who i will gladly inform of the new name of the stubbies! Bahaha

I am looking forward to seeing the finished system Ronmaggi. I usually have a fear of burying things when i cant easily dig them up, but that is mostly based off the fact i am very lazy with my home projects. ;)

I'm not sure why people have trouble with the "tapered fittings". I was told the presure pipes were the tapered ones, who knows?

I've found that vinidex ones work, or at least old ones with barcode stickers instead of stamped on do, and iplex ones don't, so I guess they're all slightly different..

So the definition that I got from looking up stubbies was reeeeaaallly short shorts from Australia. If a dude is going to wear them here they are going to be called on it, and the feminity of those names would be quite on purpose. My lack of fear about burying stuff I guess comes form not really caring about leaks, if it does, it would be no different than a little rain. I located everything away from the foundation.

LOL. that is not the image I get when I think of Daisy Duke... At least not the modern version (Jessica Simpson? Is that her name?)

It is sad that I consider the daisy duke topic more on topic than bulkhead fittings. Any ways, it was the original barrel plugs that had the leak, not the barrel modifications, therefore the bulkhead fitting conversation never really was on topic. The uniseals worked impeccably. Toilet ring wax stopped the leaks that formed with the original plugs. Plus it works when wet. I first heard about that trick about 11 yrs ago for damage control on boats.

Apparently I can fit into some small places. I climbed in to open up the valve when I was getting impatient with the draining of the rain barrels.

That was all last Monday, this is today. I spent the week after work filling in the dirt.

This is where the plumbing runs to the big short PVC pipe on the right will be the rain water inlet, and the long skinny one on the left will be plumbed into muni.

Glad to see that your work has been approved. It looked a bit risky to me, but I applaud your efforts to keep us up to date with all those progress shots, top effort noted :thumbright:
