Hi all,

I now have som more room to expand my current system.
http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11052
I have another 4 IBC's to play with, within this area.
Image

Should I continue with the current type of setup I already have, or go something different?
I will run 1 of the FT's off the current system, currently 2x 1000L FT's to 3x300L GB's
I like having the 3x GB and 3xSumps on my current system as they provide support for the GB and the sumps provide more surface area to stock more yabbies in them.
Any other idea's???

Hi Lyndon,
How is the second setup coming along and what design did you decide on? If it is as productive as the first it must be looking pretty good now.

Been a bit quiet lately, have a "slipped disc" and cant do much lifting/bending, but slowly getting better.
Some updates on the expansion.
Should bring the total to. 2x 1000l fish tanks, 2330l of Grow beds and 2330l of sump capacity.

4x more sumps for the Yabbies.

4x more grow beds.

Yes the sumps will be interconnected, Im hopeing to get water bridges going after seing the on another system, Dunders system I think it was. If that fails I'll try the Uniseal website if it vever gets constructed.

More surface area for more yabbies :headbang:

hey Lyndon..

Just had a quick look at the pics of the system..
A few Questions..
1 - Did you put a gutter off the shed..?
2 - The Cross bar, if that is the cross piece from the IBC either pant it or find another way to keep the tank shape..[ ie I would drill hole up top and use Cable tie to hold the tanks shape..] - use Black Cable tie's]]

Other than that great work..

Juergen

Thanks Juergen, I'll eventually add some guttering to the kids cubby and store it. I'll use cable ties if the water does not push the walls of the sumps out, they have been sitting empty for a while therefore sagged, will see how they go.
