Around here they call the mowers "bush hogs"
Good point on the 4WD, ouch getting more $$ Sigh.

I have a bit of experience driving a friends tractor a few years back and it was 4WD But I'm gonna need a bigger one to be able to handle a ton on the loader.

what ever tractor and loader you get, make sure it has a shuddle shifter to change derections. when you are using the loader you don't have to change gears, just flip the lever. best wheel barrow you will ever own. Good luck Jerry

Even better get a hydrostatic. Even easier than the shuttle.

My new tractor the kubota next to my old massey. Man I love the kubota. 4wd and hydrostatic transmission. Also has the quick change bucket. I can swap the bucket for forks.

So frustrating to own the farm but be too busy to even get out there to see any of the progress made so far (cleaning/painting.)

TC will get sympathy from me. Haven't seen my place since August last year.

Heading up there on Wednesday to mark out where the shed is to be erected so the truck can deliver as close as possible.

Have also submitted my interest to Carbon Neutral to get trees planted next year (missed the cut off date for this year). This will hopefully see the number of trees on my place increased from 3 to about 15,000. From looking at the pics of TC's place a problem she does not have.

Hey when they talk of Carbon Neutral Arbe Do they say what type of Tree..

Not sympathy, Commiseration maybe.
Feeling a bit like a caged animal looking at pictures of my farm but not able to get to all that space and get to work setting it up.
Sigh, I just have to hold out and maintain my sanity for one more month. Then I will get some time on the farm!

It's worse than learning the patience needed to cycle up an aquaponics system because at least then you can stare endlessly at the fish and try to watch the seedlings grow or get hypnotized by the function of a siphon for hours on end.

:support: Try living on one and not having enough time to even make progress.

I'm on 33+ Acres here and don't even have the time to fence 1/4 acre or put in my composting pile. Not to mention I still have to build a Hayshed, put supers on my beehives, mulch the garden, figure out the AP/greenhouse design, fix the pot holes in the driveway, figure out the paddock/water arrangements for high intensity grazing, get cows and goats. The fruit trees need pruning (too late now), the grapevines need staked and trellised... I need more mulch and to finish ammending the garden plot. Need to figure out how I'm gonna bail the 2 acres of Hay I have growing...

It's horrible I tell ya... Absolutely horrible.

Yeah, and you probably wouldn't have it any other way...

I never want to move again. Even though I can't sit down anywhere to rest without looking at something that needs done.

Bought your pad of 2' X 2' graph paper yet TC? And a big pink eraser?
