Very nice video of the system there, and the produce speaks loudly for itself!! Is your new home system going to be along similar lines except larger?

:D

Thx g8r

And glad you liked it Rupe! Yeah, that's light by aquaculture standards lol (less then 1/10lb/gal) but of course some people that are used to keeping 8 fish in a tank might be shocked.

I can't even get close to those tanks without every fish flipping out and going into a feeding frenzy, splashing everywhere. I call the middle area the "splash zone". Super healthy fish though...growing quick! I have some 2-3" babies in another isolated RAS tank I care for and they do the same thing. Get close and about a thousand babies are crawling all over each other coming completely out of the water.

as an aside topic, what do they do with the gunk that they drain out of the filter tanks?

Nice place to work Ryan. The bending down to work the beds is a pain. One of the things I don't like about my own system. I guess they just have to fit in with the rest of the system at that height. Would be awesome if they could be higher. It all looks pretty awesome though! DWC is on the cards for me soon soon!

Bill- I either use it on terrestrial plants, put it in a compost pile or drain it into our 2acre testing pond where we test different algaecides, aeration devices and sludge reducing products.

Brian- yeah, great place to work :). The beds could have been higher but the downside would be that you would be very limited in growing climbing plants like tomatoes, cukes, melons, peas etc. I got a little rolling chair with all terrain tires and a swivel seat which I use a lot and it helps.

I finished putting the rafters together, got the feet exactly where I want them and mounted 75% of them to the footers. I'll get to ther rest tonight.

Looks like an Archaeological dig. Fossilized backbone of a greenhouse. Must be tough keeping sand out of the tape measurer around there. Cheers Ryan and good work.

Looks like your preparing to make a tomato plant sacrifice to Zog (the god of greenhouses), there's probably some ritual incantation before you chop the top off?
