I don't think they have an income tax. The weather is nice...... land is/was inexpensive and there is a considerable number of U.S expats there.

Or are you inquiring about Belize, in the Caribbean ( actually I think it's in South America!)

It used to be a British Colony. So they speak English!

We went to Belize four our honeymoon 14 years ago, the mainland was very humid and rainy in August, I don't think I like jungles. The islands were very nice. (we stayed at the resort from Temptation Island haha)

It is in Central America, which geologically speaking is actually North America. Funny how politics plays with our perceptions. Just as few miles south of where I live, I am suddenly in Central America. It is of course because all the nations with the exception of Belize speak Spanish. The creators of an infant reading program called Monkey See Monkey Do are based in Belize. Their accent barely even differs from an American accent.

Have we established that we are talking about Belize? If so, I know a huge asteroid or comet once landed there ;) Anything that was living there at the time was vapourised and their molecules spread around the planet. There's a good chance we all have some of those molecules in us... so maybe we all come from Belize!

However, La Balize in Louisiana, I know nothing about.
