Quick update.

Everything is ticking along nicely. Tied the air stones to the SLO, works great, nice clean water. Thanks.

Have one trout with pop-eye. OK to eat? I don't want to get pop-eye like this!! :cyclopsani:

Maybe you should breed him, have a line of googly eyed trout?

Should be fine to eat.

With a few hot days recently and today being 42c and tomorrow 40c, the fish tank has risen to 24c. Trout seem to still be happy, despite the increase in temp.

So far i have picked over 12kg of tomatoes this summer, with plenty more still ripening. Grape romas, normal romas and standard toms.

How's everyone else's temps going, and anyone still running trout?

I have only added ice a few times this summer. 100kg of ice will drop the temp by 2c.

I also open the lid of the FT every night to allow some cooling, if the night temps are low enough. Was 30c over night last night and about the same the night before. A cool change has rolled in this arvo, phew. Only 28c tomorrow.

Still have last years trout kicking around in the tank.

Water temps down to 12c, and trout feeding like crazy.
