Still have to finish the tank cover with shade cloth, and add one more grow bed to complete the setup

Hi Brent!

Welcome to the forum.

If you add the youtube code from your video: UVNKJsCihf4 into the youtube button, it'll embed them into the page.

Nicely done though :headbang:

Was it expensive to get your stands galv dipped?

And I ran into the same problem building my grow beds. I welded them all together, and realised I had a 1m gap to get through. It was fun to do by myself. :)

First of all welcome to the forum and what i good looking start, i noticed your pumping from your fish tank to the grow beds and that your tank has a corrugated base for strength. Now with the position of your pump and with the circular flow you will have with your inlet,a lot of the solids are going to want to settle out in the centre, again the fluted base is going to stop some of these solids actually making it there and they will collect along the bottom.
This is just my thoughts, how about placing the pump in the centre then modifying your inlet manifold, have a vertical inlet with a horizontal piece at the bottom, this will help move the entire body of water more evenly, the horizontal inlet making sure the solids migrate to the centre across the bottom. As your system matures and your stocking rises with more mature fish even there swimming will move the solids helping them make it to the centre.
I have smaller circular tanks with just the vertical inlet and apart from not aerating the water as your inlet helps to do they work very well in keeping the tank bottom clean.

G'day dasboot, thanks for your advice I placed the ribs lengthways to my pump and put the tank on a 80mm fall towards the tank this will hopefully help the solids slide down between each rib an head towards pump, specially when the fish get a bit bigger an start to stir up solids on the bottom,
Well I hope that's how it will work
Cheers HEZZY

Looking good! I've really got to learn me how to weld.

Will be keeping an eye out for the finished product, great stuff so far. :)

looks good Hezzy89, looks like you piped under the house from one side to the other!

I guess you need to make sure its cycled before adding the trout, a bit of peeponics will help.

do you have a test kit? when the ammonia goes down and the nitrates are pumping you will be ready
