Customer took some photos of Cafe, and sent them thru, so I thought I'd share them as they were pretty cool.

I really have to read through this whole thread - its next on my list. The cafe looks great - love the upcycled materials, and those catfish!

Bit of a photo update. Nothing too much new to report, have put some shade cloth in the trickle filter, but still experiencing low ammonia. Now that temp has dropped it leaves me a bit more wiggle room, so I may just keep feeding.

I've lost four catfish in the last week, I think as a combination of lack of food, and temperature swings. We've had our first batch of cold weather, and water temps went from 22 deg c to 11deg c overnight.

Growth is good, business is good. Wish the budget was more accommodating to more AP at the moment, need more plants as Nitrates is higher. Anywho, pics.

The basil in this bed is massive, it's one plant that continually gets harvested. I love direct seeding! These were a gift from a member, can't mention who, but she knows she has my thanks! I think it's cool how I've got tomato plants strung above the customers heads.

This is probably the most planted bed. The cherry tomatoes are going nuts in this bed, over 60 tomatoes awaiting to get ripened as we speak between two plants. Not as good as some of you tomato heads out there, but I've never been dedicated enough to a garden to have success with tomatoes before ahaha. There's also silver beet, amaranth, basil, spring opinions, spinach, mystery greens (I can't remember what I sprinkled on ahaha) and what I think is an eggplant (it's the close up pic) but am unsure. Also just realised I made a liar out of myself on another thread, must remember to turn distribution pipe around ahaha

This one has just had a heap of seeds thrown in, plus it has my only larger tomato. I really need to start keeping record of what I plant!

Filter

Put some shade cloth in on top of K1 and bottle tops. Have made the top layer easy to remove and clean, so hopefully that keeps maintenance down. I also plan on putting some inside of milk crates in the sump, to battle my ammonia issues. Pic also of the bottom of RFF and my stash of bottle caps that need to be added.

Fish

Not very good shots apologies! Getting some build up in perch tank of solids down bottom. I'm thinking of putting a cat or two in their, as their tank is spotless. Cats keep knocking of the pipe that stops smaller fish from escaping bottom drain. Buggers!

DWC Beds

These beds I'm not proud of, all a bit hodge podge, and put together with left overs from main build. Have mint going well, some basil and spinach, and tomatoes going ok. The tomatoes are all suckers off main plants. There's lots of guppies and yabbies under plants. I recently changed plumbing so that they drain into each other, as I don't think I was getting enough aeration, but no budget for aerator. So instead of each tank having 300 L and hour thru it, they now have 800 litres and drain into each other. I reckon I've seen better growth since I did this.
