My greenhouse w/in GH with 2500w (total) heaters (x1 1500w and x1 1000w) kept it mid 60's with major air gaps in the high tunnel.

Throw some posts/poly carb/GH film and should keep things well above freezing.

I have no fricking idea, Brain :D

I will try some ziroscape, some wicking bed dirt, some aquaponics, some water world.
I got it all graveled. The one truck was just enough.

While I decide what and how to do with the tub I am doing some stuff around it.
Little rock garden on the North side. All plants are seriously drought resistance and zone 2-4, can handle serious frost. All have a different blooming time.

2 things I have not solved.
1. how the design of the grow beds will look like. It has to fit in with the ziroscape, including the drainage, a little river? a little waterfall? or both. How to hide the piping from the spa to the grow beds?

2. What fish? Winter extremely cold and summers extremely hot, -25 to +40 C air temp.

While I am mulling that over, I built 2 above ground wicking beds, from old left over 2bys, that I had around.
I filled the with half/half Alpaca and horse manure and use them as a manure curing station during the fall and winter. I catch the water/urine mix from the overflow and use it as fertilizer for the rest of the garden.
Works great.
Meanwhile I have to take care of a little problem on one of my pastures, loco weed. It is pretty bad in some spots and I have to spray around 20 acres with broad leave. Spray one section, move to the next and than check a few days later if I got it all.
60% chance for rain today, so no spraying.

wow gnoib I'm not sure why I didn't follow this thread before, I know I've read through it a couple times. It looks like you've done quite a bit since last time I was here though.

On your potato barrel - did you cut the bottom out of it or are you planning on rolling / tipping it over to harvest? Just debating if cutting the bottom off would be easier to just slide the barrel up off of it and the dirt falls out... I guess if it is in the winter greenhouse it might be better to be able to roll it outside to dump it so dirt doesn't go all over in the WG.

I was not very successful with my potato towers this year so looking for new ideas for next year.

I'm thinking I need to convince my wife to let me expand my AP system to outside of the greenhouse next year. Having a nice water feature like this looks like it will turn out to be would be cool to have in the back yard =)

I'll wait to bring it up seems how I'm in the middle of the second greenhouse project right now...
