I am not able to source greenhouse cover here , so bought tarpaulin waterproof with uv treated . 50% transparent

Hi Sri,

I'm not certain I understand how which way the sun is from and how it works but I'm going to throw a suggestion out which I'm not even certain you'll be able to use or want to do.

I think you could use grommets through the tarp so that you can make a sliding cover or one that could be stretched across the frame. Something like these for the grommets - http://www.harborfreight.com/103-piece-1-2-half-inch-grommet-installation-kit-30037.html added at intervals along the side.

Once you have the grommets in then you can use clips to attach the tarp to the frame so that it slides across. Today's update -

Removed the cover as it rained and water is not flowing on it , rather stagnating on it . As I don have centre frames and also slope is not enough for the length . Thinking what to do for that. Forgot take pic

Hmm, I missed quite a few posts here

. It looks like you've made a lot of progress Sri and it looks good :thumbright:

Try to be certain that the frame can handle the force that the wind puts on the shade cloth. It's not as bad as with solid plastic but it's still significant.

I have problem , I am dealing with some bad monkeys . They seems to like my greenhouse cover very much . Every day they are playing on my cover like its trampoline .

Monkey not doing pedicure and manicure , tearing my cover every time they jump. Already patched my cover in many areas

Still they are not quiet keep on jumping and making some new holes and make me go crazy . Pissed off totally

I don't suppose throwing a fake snake or two on your cover would scare them off for very long... Perhaps a guard dog would at least alert you to when they arrive? We've got a family of monkeys (Congos, or Howler Monkeys - Alouatta palliata) that daily pass down our creek in the morning and return in evening, but they have never messed with our gardens. They definitely don't like dogs (and vice versa.)

Looks like you need to adjust the light, the small ones in the middle show it best, they are stretching for more light. You're going to need some solids filtration if that muck is coming from the DWC :think:

. Radial Flow Filters and Static Upflow Filters work pretty well (might need one of each). What's in your scoop is settleable solids (that's what the RFF will take care of) but there are also suspended solids (which the SUF helps with) that don't settle and without filtering the suspended solids you'll probably wind up with root rot in the DWC. Suspended solids tend to cling to the roots. There is a component of the suspended solids called dissolved solids (things like ions so this includes many nutrients). The dissolved solids will pass through either of these filters.

You do lose some nutrients by filtering the solids so most commercial growers and some hobbyists who remove the solids will have a mineralizer to break down the solids further so that they can be added back in. Grow beds prior to the DWC can do this for you without needing a separate mineralizer, you need to be careful not to overwhelm the grow beds with solids or they lose the ability to act as a good biofilter (which is another function they have in most systems). It sounds complicated but it's not that big a deal. Usually it will be something like one of these lineups

Fish Tank --> Grow bed --> DWC (In this situation you have enough grow beds to handle all the solids)

Fish Tank --> RFF --> Grow bed --> DWC (Here you don't have enough grow beds to handle the solids)

Fish Tank --> RFF --------------> SUF --> DWC (You don't have any grow beds)
