Finally got a lower ph reading!!! Been reading 8.2-8.5 for the past few months. Finally got a reading of 7.8!!!! Nitrification has begun!!! I actually got a reading of nitrates for the first time too!!! I bet my plants have been living on ammonia and nitrites for the past two months lol.

Probably that's part of what they were living off. I'll bet the nitrates that were getting produced were just being used up right away as well though.
