Thank you very much, I am more a builoder than a true garden grower so I did not know any of that. I will get my Master Gardener to read your post and see what they think about it. We have introduces red worms to our grow beds also, we will see if that also helps.
again thank you for the tips. :notworthy:

Ok new update. we corrected some plumbing issues that caused our grow bed to overflow, and drained half of our water out of our system. I Contacted Sybiotic Aquaponics about the issue and they sent the parts to fix it that same day. They have been great in supporting us and AP system. Our PH is now stable at 6.5 I placed a lid on our fish tank and our alge problem is much better.

I am interested in getting information on the standard desired chemical levels for a AP system. I understand that all systems are different but if you know the golden standard please share.

Well things are going well. 6.5PH 0 amonia, 0 Nitrites, 40 Nitrates. we cut down the amount of our feeding for the fish and the plants are doing very well.

:wave1: Hello
Well we have been having big changes to the student grow beds at Global Gardens. We have pulled up 53 Student beds (see below) and are about to remove the grass and put down new beds with compressed scree walk ways and a more uniformed bed layout, a inground farm bed with corn and other plants in rows, and a scent texture color garden area for our Veteran's and older gardens.
now what does that have to do with Aquaponics you ask.
well I had recently pulled several plants from our AP system and had some room. So i transplanted several Basil plants from the student beds, i love making Pesto. Our tomatoes are doing great and we have been getting our sweet potatoes started very well in the AP system.

One of our local Boy Scout troops came and built a Pergola with benches for an Eagle Scout Project. Can’t wait to get Vines growing up it.

Shewme71,

That sounds like an excellent program you've got going there. I hope the kids really take advantage of it and perhaps you'll see some home systems blooming out of it.
Cheers to all the volunteers out there who really make the world a better place! :occasion5:
