Yesterday I had a break though in pain from my hip. I think I'm over that hump. I did not do any work of course. Jona and Sara worked with Brittany and her Adam to keep the ball rolling. I may need to take it easy today, but I definitely felt a change in pain levels yesterday. I could tell by the fact that my mental state went from hopeless to again seeing the future and able to make plans for it.
It was so great to get to know you better.

Unfortunately, threads got crossed and with new layout in Tapatalk, thought I was in Brian's but in mine and PM's in mine as well. Confusion abound......

Only one picture came out for there was mortar on my lens......Brians space does not do it justice as far as what has been created and listening to the water from where I was sleeping was very soothing. Need to incorporate waterfall sounds into our own house.

His most recent batch of trout are already getting good size.

I had soffit up, but it was just serving as a home for mice, alternative solution, but a day late for a Racoon came in and took out a hen.

Cleanest looking hen house I've seen in a while... Don't look at mine lol.

I have a mouse issue now too, they are chewing up the styrofoam insulation I insulated the coop with and it is slowly falling down through cracks.

Good to know b/c wife was wanting to put insulation (polystyrene) and you just confirmed my concerns.

Built the remaining doors and put up a partition for outside pen to pick up some space for overflow storage and consolidate flocks into one pen area.

Secured all the access points, and just a few replace the shingles and patch the hole where the Racoon met its demise.

Looks like you have some really nice facilities there for those chicks. Should be some happy chicks.

The other bad part about the white styrofoam insulation is the chickens go crazy over it trying to eat it. I try to keep it away from them but now the mice are feeding it to them.

We did have upwards of 180 birds at one time so the Coop is a bit overkill now (35).

Some insulation and sheetrock, floor finishes and running water, (and kick out the chickens) and my man cave is complete!

Now, I should be able to turn my attention back to the GH.

That came out fantastic Adam. Yes I had the same experience with Styrofoam. We've got to do something for our little flock of guineas. I'm thinking of connecting the Brooder van to the lumber shed. Our Guinea fowl are picking on each other. In your large hen house are you able to separate the birds into smaller groups?

If you can make it happen,

It has been soo long, but something like 3-4SF/bird if your let them range and 7SF/bird if they are kept inside.

I have 8 areas total and yesterday took the largest and cut it in half so I could put the Silkies together in on pen and have the remaining roosters a place of their own (bachelor pad). Of the ones who hatched naturally this year, they were the most successful. Will focus on our barred rocks/Dominiques come spring time.

Still have space for emergencies, but it is now oriented to storage or a new purpose of a fish house?

Telling you, animals get the best accommodations here @ our place.

Don't know the cross, but either Dominique/Silkies or Dom/Light Brahama, but one to keep either way.

Beautiful bird for certain. I'm glad Nell and you spoke yesterday evening. I've got not much of a phone personality :shifty:
