Basically the system consists of the six tanks draining to the pump. Pump pumps to the sand filter via a multicylone prefilter. From the sand filter it goes to the grow beds which are on top of the bio filters. From the grow beds it drains into the biofilters which are the totes and it moves from one tote to the next. From the biofilters, the water drains by gravity to the fish tanks.

wow nice job. Is this the same room you've been using? Are the IBC's the new addition? I see looking in one of the previous pics that the other fish tanks seemed to be back behind them. If it's a large addition of water and not where you've been running the system in the past be cautious of the added water content -- be mindful of mold issues.

It is kind of the same room. The building is an old school building with the class rooms 22' by 32'. I just took out a dividing wall to make one big room. I have 15 fish tanks that need to be set up and so far I have 9 set up and these are the last 6 to be set up. So basically everything is new addition. When I started setting things up 3 years ago, I set things up like the previous owner. But as I was setting things up and started my first fish season, issues started coming up so I kept making modifications as I set things up. Then the last 6 tanks I decided to just just do a complete different set up and not just additional modifications.

Nice huge system. What is your plan for the plants?

Where do you buy fish food for all those fish? I have a hard time finding a good source here in Alberta. Currently buying from BC.

Right now the plants is just personal use. Only place is in BC. Your options are Skretting or EWOS and Hi-Pro feeds might have some.

Im in Calgary, but it looks like I have to buy the food from BC.

About the plants I was interested in if you have a system connected to the fish tanks to use the free nutrients.

Yes the plant-side is connected to two of the fish tanks. They form part of the biofilteration system. The other 7 tanks haven't been retrofitted. And the six new tanks will also have plants above the biofilters.
