Here we go. Having a crack at building an aquaponic system. On a budget of selling all of my old or no longer used camping gear......there's a lot of it !!!

What software does everyone use to reduce the size of their photos. Can't seem toget my photos to fit.

Welcome to the forum.

I use GIMP. There are a couple of threads that might help with posting pics located here - http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=4

The arrival of more IBC's managed to get a good source at a very good price... Now to begin the search for Blue drums at a good price as well.... (Tip: use Google, eBay and Gumtree) and always be checking for good prices.

I'm now thinking about how deep to dig the sump into the ground.....

Work in progress and changing all the time.

Hi Boris,
why don't you just continue with cut IBC's for GBs ?

I have limited space. I also have a retaining wall that I'm able to fit half blue drums on most of the way so i'm using those areas. Otherwise i'll keep using half IBC's

(Alot more photos to come)

I'm going to be trying out different types of wicking half drums. See what happens. The closest two half drums to the system, I'm thinking about adding them to the system and possibly putting tomatoes there since they go nuts with their roots. Maybe even inside a root pouch as well just for good measure....

I can only add one more half IBC here before I hit the cubbyhouse. Space is tight along the backyard.
