Yup, I agree. The 4x4 would work as a good stop-gap. I was assuming the tank was being fully drained.........

hey

yes took out half the water yesterday and was supprised when I went out this morning to check things out...

the wall has moved back in about 3/4" of an inch... so I think maybe just a 2 x 6 bolted to the bottom of the wall and then bolt it to the 4 x 4 to pull it in will probably be enough....

will drain some more water out this afternoon and get the correct bolts I need and give it a try....

FT is FIXED... Yeah!!!!!!

I took a 2 x 6 and bolted it to the center of the bulge and worked outward on both sides
tightened all the top bolts which bowed to match the wall bow...

I triple checked my measurements to get the right size lag bolts.... didnt want to puncture the liner....

as you can see in the layout... the bottom layout shows how the bottom wall was way out and how I used the 2 x 6 along with 3 1/2" and 6" lag bolts... as I tightened the bottom bolts it pulled the wall in without a problem... since it was sliding on the plywood it just pushed the liner back into place...

the top layout shows the wall back in place..... onward and upward LOL

Its supposed to rain tonight... so wanted to get more done outside...

Started putting in the blocking on the south wall.. I will have 4 large drop down vents running the entire length of the GH, got the top plate mounted on the ST

Image

Put in some foam in the bottom of the ST, to cushion the bottom of the liner

Image

adding the liner.... corners are the toughest part

Image

Getting the liner positioned.....

Image

corners roughed in....

Image

filling the ST to about half way makes folding the corners easier and neater

Image

corner almost finished..... nice and neat...... water was chilly.... see the shrinkage of the toe

Image

I used cinder blocks to hold the liner in place while I was pushing and pulling into place. got it filled half way to hold it into place in case we get a lot of rain tonight..... hope to start building the first GB by the weekend....

thanks all

yep... its much bigger than the FT... but will have 4 large GB's and with 190 fish will have a 1.88 to 1 system.....

If I could put a water wheel in one end it would make a good lap pool... you would have to swim straight.. by bouncing off each side.....

I will be able to get down into it if I ever need to....I will have 44" (111.76 cm) to crawl around in.....

this new GH and AP system is a culmination of things I learn from the last one.... which is the way it's supposed to be :wave1:

It's tough to teach old dogs new tricks... but with enough hammering, even I can learn :)

Can't even see the underwater entrance to the super-secret undisclosed bunker (next to the sump)... Or is that part of Phase III?

My caption for the neat folded liner final picture would be: Now where did I lay down my watch?!?

Really crisp work JT. Just what we expect.

I guess it's better than realizing you can't find the truck keys after finishing loading a 53' semi.

Lovely raceway sump tank there JT. I'm feeling a little jealous.
