well the ST is roughed out... now time to do the fine tuning... smoothing the bottom to the required depth... making sure the sides are square.... and then installing the cement board ST....

will order my liner today or tomorrow... so by next week, I should have the FT and ST lined...

They make a few different types of cement board. Some is meant specifically for under tile while others can do the tile thing or they can be used as wall board and even outdoor siding. (Hardee board is one that there is a version of hardee backer for tile and then there is the Hardee plank for use as siding etc.) It also comes in different thickness. Only really important think about it I can think of is to get something that won't deteriorate when wet and an appropriate thickness that it won't simply break if there is some settling under parts of it. (some of the tile backer is like really thin and I can break it with my hands.) We got a chunk of the heavier concrete board to use as a counter top in my outdoor kitchen

thanks TC....

I know that the backer board comes in 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8...

so I would use the thickets I can get and put a second layer around the outside perimeter...

Im ordering the liner this week..... will be in next week sometime.... I still have to install the cement board in the ST, add another layer of plywood to the bottom of the FT (just for my piece of mind), put all the angle brackets and cut top plates....

I will be covering the outside with bamboo mats... just to spruce it up....

From the start, I have had to design and build this system to fit the existing GH... my ultimate goal is to use every available space.....

If all goes well this summer, I may convert my 24' x 45' dirt garden to a hoop house with
a much larger AP setup... we shall see
