I believe I have got enough airstones and my configuration has not changed from running the ACO of similar capacity.

Well anyways we live and learn. So products from less known chinese based companies could very well be of better quality than the more commonly known multi national companies.

I am on my second 4000 model after 6 months but I think the first one only needs the diaphragms replaced. If that doesn't fix it I will update everyone and agree with you Ivan as a manufacturer to stay away from.

BTW nice harvest.

Got no responses from the PondOne distributor... I emailed info@aquaone.com.au .. Is there another contact??

Anyways I took all my trout out yesterday. They ranged from 400gms to 700 gms... The 400gms ones look a little funny... They actually grew height wise rather than length wise...

Anyways, I had over-wintered some barra from last year. So into my first system they go. For the newbies, I have a heater in there to keep the temperature somewhat more stable during the Nov/Dec temperature transition.

And Faye is right, Barra are boring... Silvers are actually more interesting than Barra.

I've been running various models of the ACO-xxx range for years.... non-stop...without any problems whatsoever...

And IMO... without any great noise levels....

I'm at a bit of a lose to understand some peoples resistance to them... :dontknow:

Any pics Ivan?? I often get a few deformed ones that grow like that but sort them out before I sell any fingerlings.

Ive got a few of the ACO range which I have had for many years. They seem pretty reliable but are definitely noisier than other air pumps and use more electricity for the volume of air output than other pumps I have.

Are you being politically correct Ivan? Are you trying to say that they were fat?

No EB, I am not saying that they are fat. The trouts still put on weight but instead of growing normally like the trouts do, their growth proportion seemed a bit out...

TM, nope unfortunately it slipped my mind to take a photo...

I was pretty happy with the ACO but mine died a few months ago, and I thought I would get a PondOne as it does draw less power than the ACO, but unfortunately it does not last as long...

I have a trout like Ivan is describing. I will try to remember to take a photo when I pull home (or her) out.

My mentor had us urinate in the new system to bring up the pH. Is this standard or his weirdness?
