Yeah I've noticed a wide array of different taps and fittings. Mine has a tap that sells for big bucks (for a tap). Seems crazy for a disposable single use container. Mine even have heaters under them. (honey transport)

But it's nice to see the opportunity for making IBC systems are truly a universal thing. Someone told me they were watching battle star galactica, and they had IBCs as part of the set!

You know you've got it bad when you see fish tanks everywhere when you watch TV. I thought I was overdoing it seeing them when I drive through an industrial area. I hardly ever pay attention to the road any more, I just see the interesting new concrete fishtanks being buried in the streets by our water supply people.

I never "saw" an IBC before December when I joined this site. Haha. They're everywhere! And, yes, i get a little irritated when I see 3 empty IBCs in the middle of a crop field and I'm actually 6 hours from home in a sedan.
My truck doesn't get the best gas mileage but can you really put a price on usefulness? (Insert rising price of gas comment and maybe BW has an applicable math equation to help)

Maths in school should be replaced with aquaponics.

Unless, of course, I'm in a plane, a car, hospitable, walking at night under streetlights, wearing clothes, eating bread, stuff like that... then maths is useful :)

Just not to me :)

Maths is so other people can make my life better :)

Thanks maths.

Thanks other people.

Maths is a lot like chemistry.

If you have an aquaponics chemistry question, you just click your heals together 3 times and say Rupert Rupert Rupert, state your question, and BAM your answer appears as if by magic :)

hahaha !

Is it considered a not insane if you laugh out loud to things your "online aquaponics friends" say on a forum... ?

What about if it is after your wife has gone to bed and you are all alone ?

Just don't wake her up to try to explain it, she might not understand. I know the cook thinks I'm odd when I try to explain why I'm laughing sometimes.

That's why aquaponics systems make produce, to distract our partners from all the missing stuff from around the house :)

Look Mrs Bullwinkle basil! Shiny! (deftly removes gearbox from breadmaker with other hand using only a paper clip)

Has anyone ever had anything used in a system make it back to the kitchen cupboard? :)

I was too cheap to go to the hardware store to get a small gardening trowel, so my wife brought out an ice cream scoop. I tried it and it was the wrong shape for what I needed it for, so after a washing it ended up back in the kitchen. Later I found a garden trowel for 89 cents. It works much better.

Hats off to you

You might be the only one that's ever returned anything

Not that it would do any good to return the ice cream scoop. If your house is anything like mine, I have 3 generations of ice cream scoop in my second drawer, and none have ever been used except for the first day they were bought.

I think if I asked the world to donate their ice cream scoops I could become an aluminium (yeah that's how we spell it and that's why we say it like that) baron.

Some nice people at furv.com donated an iPhone today so I could blog my epic aquaponics powered boating adventure down the Murray river. They didn't even ask me to mention them in my blog.

They just sent me an iPhone.

I already had an iPhone that I swapped for a home made burger a few weeks ago, but Mrs bullwinkle got that one.

It pays to hold out for the later version under the guise of fair play :)

My karmic credit must be running in overdraft now.

Anyone need any help with anything? :)

I need help, but I'm not sure how some one in OZ will be able to get a bank person to do their darn paperwork so I can get confirmation and make my big announcement.

It's the thought that counts, so I'm already on it :)

It sounds exciting.

I know. I'll do the drum roll for you.

I'll start now.

Let me know when you want the finale :)
