Been thinking about this system for some time. Got the ibc's today thanks to Andrew and Naree who allowed me to plunder 3 of theirs. Also thanks to Andrews great roping down job they made it the 350km with no hsm's. :D

Planning on one tank for fish tank, one cut in half for two 500L grow beds, and one for the sump and dug into the ground far enough to allow the growbeds to drain to it at a useable height.

Yeah, don't think the current layout on the trailer is going to work.... :laughing3:

You might be able to get an extra slightly shallower bed from the top of the sump if you wanted too...

Yeah that was my first thought but, now I want to base he system around the 1000L sump, to allow for expansion. :)

Well it sure shows how unfit I am digging this sump hole. Got about a foot to go but it started to get very hard, so I am giving it a soak for a few days.

Finally got the hole deep enough after much huffing and puffing. Can start to put the system together now

Yeah it was tough digging for an aging computer nerd. Back when I was shearing I would have done it in half a day :D

Hi Mantis, Thats B hard work digging that hole and got me to thinking why dig at all?

Look at the levels required of the complete system, (assuming CHIFT PIST) that IBC halved to make 2 GBs on stands. Then just halve the other IBC to make sump, sit on ground level and interconnect them. Not only make it easier but cut down on the pump head pressure by 1/2 metre.
