So I've been looking around and have seen soooo many contradicting opinions on stocking ratio of goldfish...

I have a 55-gallon tank, with a 42x18x12 inch grow bed. I will be growing lettuce and other leafy greens. I will be keeping the goldfish (fancy, so they will be around 6-8inchs long eventually) How many should I get? I'd rather not have to cull some later on since they will be like pets (well, sort of). I believe the ones I will be getting are 2 inches long now.

Any help would be appreciated!
