I get the feed for my Silver Perch from Big Nutrition.

They are based in Brisbane although their shipping is usually fairly cheap and they ship anywhere in Australia.

Barramundi would be best suited to your climate, I think. It is pretty hot up in Darwin I think so hot water fish like barra are suited. You should get some!

Silver perch handle higher water temps than Barramundi and a much, much wider overall temp range.

Silvers will handle water temps up to about 3ºC higher than Barra, as well as lower DO levels, which come with the higher water temps.

Yup... Jades and Barra have pretty much the same min/max temp range, both top out at about 35ºC, but the hardy old Silver will handle about 3 or 4ºC more.

A mate in Karratha gave up on Barra and went to Silvers because in the middle of summer when they get a week or more at a time up around 45-48ºC his Barra would go fins up, no matter how much air he put in the water or how many attempts he made to cool the water with different ideas, cooling towers etc. He lived in a tight complex of Homeswest villas, with corrugated tin and concrete everywhere, and very little trees or lawn, so it was hot as. He had a thermometer under the back patio and it regularly topped 55ºC because of the reflected heat, and his FT water would get to 38ºC, but Silvers managed to survive where the Barra hadn't.
