OK I'm going to try my best to get out and start new seeds in the greenhouse tonight. My temps are dropping closer to 45F at night (outside) now, which is resulting in about 65F in the greenhouse at night, back up to 75F during the day... so quite a bit cooler than the last two weeks. I'll start some in the greenhouse and start some in plastic bags and paper towel in the house at the same time just to compare how long they take to germinate (if they germinate) to see if they are just bad seeds.

The sudden heat wave we experienced here had everyone changing to Summer clothes and seedlings suffering in the glass house, I lost most of the dirt Snow Peas. I moved the rest to SY1 GB2 so they're still warm but not cooking.
The couple of Borlotti Beans behind the SS tray are the ones from the cake tray earlier and seem to be powering on.
I'm wondering how low I should let the water go in the Snow Pea jar before I have to top it up?

Thanks for the ideas. I've got to get creative here as it is that time of year. I now have two seedbed heating trays. I just have to figure what medium to start with. I tried course sand last year, but it was either too wet or too dry. I like the little net-pots, but I don't have those.

I bought peat moss, but forgot perlite, perhaps I just need to wait a couple more days for that. Is there a substitute for perlite? Kitty litter?

eBay Boss, very cheap for a heap. Probably even cheaper for you USA guys than us here in Aus.
search something like "Mesh Pot Net Cup Basket Hydroponic Aeroponic Plant"
