Hi guys

I'm looking to make a few grow towers and was hoping for some suggestions.

What should I use as the body of the tower? Considering food grade, safety and such. Would regular 'Home Depot' PVC pipes work fine or would it compromise the integrity of the system by leeching some chemicals or whatnot?

Do you know of a square substitute?

Also, what's the ideal matrix media? Polyester? Reticulated foam? If you know of a place that sells this material that is known to be used in aquaponics?

I saw in a thread something about recycled water bottles and he said he would sell this product, though I didn't see any information.

Appreciate the help
