Hello everyone! So I have my first year running the system under my belt. I must say I had some results but not as much as I would like. So this year I am getting a little more aggressive. Last year I only stocked 20 bluegill in my system that holds 1500 gallons. I didn’t lose a single fish but I also didn’t see the nutrient numbers that I should. So my conclusion is to stock 60 fish this year. I also added automatic feeders to get some consistency.

So through my research to combat algae I came across this product. Has anyone used this before? Also since this darkens your water do you think it will affect future water tests? Any thoughts...

Looks great nice pics

I grow peas through our cold season they are a great crop they can become a jungle mess full of mildew , ive gone for climbing peas on trellis this time

Plant roots in your raft are nice and clean and white so you've got your water nice and clean

If you have too much trouble with mildew on your cucumbers try Suyo variety ive had great results with them no mildew and very heat tolerant

Even your strawberry looks good they are good indicator plants they show up any nutrient deficiencies

What are your average nitrate levels

Do you add much supplement nutrient

Well done Cheers :D

Terra

Thank you for your input. As for the nitrate levels I have only had one test where nitrates were present. That was right when the system finished cycling. So my average level is 0. Here is a pic of my test this morning along with a few supplements I put in once a month or so. ImageImage

Well we avoided a disaster last night. One of the Dutch buckets about over flowed due to this pile of roots. Needless to say but the cucumbers are growing!
