The title might suggest something negative but in reality it’s way more than I could have hopped for. I started my aquaponics system in March 2017. I had been doing a red wiggles worm tower over the winter inside the house. By May the temperatures were increasing. I could not keep my worm bin moist enough. My red wigglers began drying up and dying off. I a hail marry attempt to save them I added them to the aquaponics system. They were looking pretty dried and and pathetic. I was sure they would die no matter what. Went out the other night to find numerous fat agile red wigglers worms crawling through the tops,of the growth media. They quickly scampered out of my light diving beneath the media. I continued to inspect only to find cocoons all over. Today is a good day. Cheers worms. May your life be long, your bellies full, and your poop a plenty.
