Seedlings are just starting to take off in the barrel system.. They may not look like much yet but they are heading in the right direction. Parsley got scorched off but I'm hoping they might come back as they often do.

I love this little set up.

Does the pipework from the pump go through the GB joel?

Yes, CF... Not doing as well as it might though because of the hot days we had since building it.. Fried off the parsley plants and the tomato plant, but the rest isn;t doing to badly..

It isn't doing too bad, considering the goldfish might not have been fed for a few days,
 forgot about those ones when I did the feeding earlier.

I don't feel the need to eat goldfish yet Julia-bites, it is on the list with stinging nettle and purslane- edible but not very appetising :dontknow:

Awesme thanks for posting this, I have a couple of blue barrells sitting around I'm going to make one today... I was going to try it with some yabbies, what do you think? And what about solar pumps? can you use one or are they not powerful enough?

nice I love playing with barrels

try it with fish and a normal pump first, solar pumps cost heaps and yabbies can't provide the nutrients needed

Don't forget photos
