Hey team! I am thinking of using quite a few ibc filled with blue metal as part of a permanent set-up.

My question is "if I clad the ibc so sun light never contacts the plastic liner what would the life span of the IBM be? Would it be basically indefinite do you think?

Thanks

No, I wouldn't think so.. But the main problem I think you'd have is the frame rusting. IBC frames will last for many years out in the weather, but once you put them near acidic, part salty water they rust pretty quickly.. Even though we touched up all of our cuts on the ibc from here at the shop, I think we'll be pulling it apart soon because the frame is rusting so badly.
