Does anyone have one of these?

Are they larger bottles of testing reagents than the master test kits? If they're the same size as the master kits, then it's a very expensive tackle box to keep them in..

Yep thats what I thought. A couple of hardness test bottles for more than double the price of the master test kit meh

Especially when you can get the API Master kit for $42.. and the kH/gH kit for $13.50...

From the same site...

Maybe I should mod the thread title.

:laughing3:

Yeah, I have no idea how big the bottles are. Surely that cheap chinese box they are in is worth $50 ?? :funny1:

I get the emails from them, was kinda annoying but now I just look out for stuff that might be usefull. I guess I will post other things that might be of use. You never know I guess :)

OK, this IS a great deal for an aquarium canister filter.

I have this exact filter and compared to the fluval equivalent it can't be beaten
These things are really simple and really robust and have the largest volume of biofiltration for their size, more than double the fluval at a guess. I also have the fluval 350.
I searched everywhere and ended up getting my 2217 for $240, so they have come down to about $200 since then so this deal is great !

Hmm good point.

Includes Carbon filter Pad, Fine filter pad, Coarse filter pad and media basket.

So I don't think that comes with the ehiem balls and ceramic tube media (which mine has)
Maybe not as good as I thought ?

I contacted them and they replied saying it comes with 3 sponges but no biological media

So did I ;)
So I guess its still a saving of about $40 approximately.
Assuming the cheapest you can still get them with media is about $240

its not bad the pads are no good i never use them the basket is all you want clay is better then the ehime balls but yer you can make a 50L bio fillter that grows plants and removes nitrates for around the same price

I use the blue coarse foam at the bottom and the fine filter at the top (i just cut cheaper filter fabric) I like the eheim media, easy to clean and seems to work well.
But your right, better off building a GB, kinda hard with a display aquarium inside though..

We have Veba's over here in sunny WA
They are the largest seller of eheim in the country.
And his prices are awesome. :)

Pity I hate cannister filters!
