Forum was down for a while. Was this due to increased traffic from people googling aquaponics after seeing it on TV?

Nah, Joel was too busy watching 60 minutes and forgot to put 20 cents in the slot. :D

Couldn't critisize Murray at all on this one..Overall a nice little plug for AP...Should generate some extra interest in AP...

How did you like those sexy LED lights the US government bought for that mob just outside of Texas?

Looking at roof top gardens and having skyscrapers full of vertical gardening... I reckon the buildings would have to be engineered well enough to hold the extra weight of these gardens ....You'd need to be careful there I reckon...

Cheers.

those LED lights mess with ya head, i had some dodgy ones (red and blue) and it was crazy. if mine didn't fail so much i'm sure they would have worked

Hi folks,

I was driving in my car today and was quite surprised to hear the radio announcer talk most favourably about Murray's segment on 60 minutes last night....He is very interested in aquaponics and setting a backyard setup up for himself....

Personally I would of liked it to be informative even in the time slot it had but.... if what was said last night sparks some more interest in AP, then that's OK by me....It's all good....

Cheers.

Oh my. I didn't know your 60 minutes wasn't the same as my 60minutes...
I'm jealous... but I'll use the vid to spread the word on G+. Would have liked a bit more, you're right!!

Doesn't seem to have been a great influx in forum members, you can see here in the member list, was an influx on Friday for some reason :dontknow: : memberlist.php?start=9050

A little bit more traffic to the website in general perhaps, maybe around 10%, really need to see another day or two yet to know, numbers go up and down all the time....

I've been pasting it all over G+, EB. Anyone that is complaining about hormones in food... crappy tasting veg, or sustainable ih-city food. Some guy posted a thing for the LED lights for inside plant growth... but he was just looking to sell a product.

Yeah its always hard to tell EB, just thought maybe something would standout. Thats a shame it hasnt sparked any real interest.
I suppose when i saw things like this a few years back, when i was only interested in dirt gardening, i would have had a Pffft attitude, i would have liked the idea but said "what a load of shit, all that effort for no gains vs. growing in the ground", i think most people would dismiss it when they hear "the way of the future", it tends to sound like some ignorant 1960's shit when people say that sort of thing.

had a friend come up to me tonight and mentioned the 60 minutes story, he thought it was great and got a bit more of an understanding of it all (he hasn't seen my systems yet). so for the general public it seems to be a good thing as a few people have mentioned to me how much they liked it.
