HDPE? Are they similar plastic s plastic milk jugs. Translucent? Awesome find. 500mm (29") depth x 900mm (35") width 1500mm (59") length! If these were preowned, do you know what the were used for?
Wow fantastic, I am drooling with envy!
Those first ones are a cubic meter if I'm not mistaken.
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_bulk_container average volume of an IBC is 1049 liter ~ one cubic meter. It is the shape of your polyethylene boxes that is fantastic. Most people need to cut an IBC down to make them a better size for a grow bed. In my opinion you're scored perfect grow beds.
Congratulations

SA = South Australia, the only state NOT settled by convicts :D :headbang:

I'll try an educate you. we are in the middle part of Aus down the bottom. Where Fort Worth is superimposed if you kept going south east down the bottom of that piece of land is where I hang out.

SA is 30 minutes behind Sydney/Melbourne some sarcastic sods say we are 20 years behind but if those yobbos want to live at their franatic pace go for it you idiots.

Australia is actually ahead of USA, due to international date line. History prooves that technically we declared war (WW11) before UK.

and that will do for tonites liberating exciting (yawn) history lesson. :laughing3:

ps we are not totally stupid, its only our leaders show us what to do.

Neat containers Tonzz as long as they are not Woomera or Maralinga left overs ;-)

Yeah boss most Australians are uncertain where SA is as well.....
(for that matter so are many SA'ers - I note that Tonzz map was missing Adelaide......)

To answer you question:

Presume NM is same zone as Colorado, at 6pm for you it is 8am in Perth, 9:30am in Adelaide and 10am in Sydney.
(this changes in summer as both Adelaide and Sydney have daylight saving)

this is a good web page ... https://www.timeanddate.com/

Thanks dlf_perth I think we'll leave the states alone.

Suggestions for the containers/crates/ ??? use as growbeds with gravel as have been planning, would either work for wicking bed ( mind you I now have 30 round pots that were used for herbal tomatoes nod nod wink wink.... someone I know (Was NOT in family) decided to bail out while they were still on the right side of the law.

or DWC I would consider trying that if they are suitable.

any of them.

500mm deep (internal I presume) would be OK for a wicking bed, and maybe a bit deep for a DWC but it wont really matter.
Nice deep grow bed but would require a lot of media - you would probably only fill to 400mm.

Depends what you need. If you want more system filtering go for the media - deep = good wet volume.
if not then go wicking bed - would suit root crops.
If you dont have a DWC it would be fine - just quite a stored water volume so you may have to insulate.

Interesting containers Tonzz.
Considering the intended contents were probably in there own cases, your containers were not designed to hold liquid and or rubble. Some reinforcing material around the sides may be in order to prevent them bowing out too much and risking breakage. Otherwise they look good.
