Far out you've really got it happening. So have you harvested any fish yet? Are you going to purge your fish?

Monya,
I have eaten a few of the males who continue to harrass the females! haha..... no I really don't have the other parts of the system set up to rotate stock and officially harvest. I don't have a reliable supplier of fingerlings so I have to grow my own, and the tilapia in the stock tank at this moment are just about fully grown. So I am madly trying to get all things finished so I can set up the breeding tanks and get going on some fry and fingerling production. Right now I depend on the grown population to provide nutrients.

Wow, 8 months. Sounds like you have some decent fish and plant growth already then

Fish growth yes, but plant growth wained for lack of adeqaute lighting. So I tore open a huge hole in my roof and in the process of glazing it. As soon as I opened the roof, numerous dormant lettuce seeds sprouted!

MF, just rechecked your drawings and see what you are doing with the drain and stand pipe, what a good idea for self cleaning the fish tank and not having the gunk going through the pump, this would work with the IBC’s and mega-bins also.

I take it the 2” drain pipe is large enough to take the pump working continuously without flooding the fish tank and the only reason for the interval timer is to allow the grow beds to drain properly?

Great stuff, super neat too! Mate if I took a photo in my shed with tanks in it, you would die of laughter.
