The cloudyiness will be fine and will clear up in 2-3weeks. My water stayed pretty cloudy for about 4 weeks and my silvers and cod were all fine.

Nice neat system

your water looks pretty good...

i didnt have the water to wash gravel when i set my system up... and it looked like the murray river. i cycled it for about a month and it didnt change a bit, two days after putting the silvers and red claws in the water was clear.

looks great tony.

Been cycling mine for just over a week, the downside is I've been away with work. Got home Friday and the water has turned green.

So I've drained it all, went and got some shade cloth and will give the tank a clean and refill it all. Then start cycling all over again.

Back to the fishless cycling, I've added some shade cloth to sopefully stop the water going green again.

Today I added some plants :D very happy about that. now to keep them alive.

Looking good LV! Perhaps some shade cloth for the vegies too would be a good idea, specially since summer is not over yet, mine, even with shade, are still getting a little burnt in the afternoon sun.

I had to add a small extension to my stand pipe as I never accounted on the amount of sag the grow bed would experience.

The heat knocked my lettuces out so I added some strawberries, coriander and a habanero chilli to the grow bed.

The best part is I put in 10 Jade Perch fingerlings this morning.

Some slight modifications to my set-up today, the pump was in the back corner. I moved it to the front area of the fish tank, much easier to access if I have any problems.

Also added a couple of clay pots, t piece pvc fitting for the fish to lurk in and a few gold fish. Hoping the goldfish will help clean up and food that has sunk to the bottom.

The vegetables are growing well, I'm a little surprised on the size gain in one week.

My figures would seem to indicate that my system has cycled.

pH 6.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrates 10

The grow bed has started filling out quickly, I really need to get another system set up soon.

So I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me achieve my results so far, your input has helped me heaps.

Currently been harvesting sweet basil and coriander, it seems no matter how much we take it's replaced a week later with regrowth.

The chillies were on the plant when it went in, I've noticed that more pods have now set as well.

Lost one of my gold fish today, it looked like it had been fed upon. Not sure if that was before or after it expired. Will have to keep an eye on the rest of the goldies and the jades, they all look ok moving about and so forth.
