Threw a few yabbies in the sump tank today... kind of funny watching them walk around their new tank...

And some 200-300gm Silver Perch in the small system... which has been struggling and pH crashed after a top-up from the dam a while back...

The growth looks fantastic, bug free and prolific. Are you adding or treating the plants with anything other than fish food?

Absolutely nothing added at all Faye... and considering the fish load is relatively low (50 fish in 3000L)... and feeding sometimes sporadic...

I can only put the growth down to a single factor....

Every single seed was from "Diggers"....

Rupe, I noticed yellowing around the edges squash leaves (see image 100_5654), does that indicate a mineral deficiency? Do you worry about it?

Spotted it at the time, and added a bit of chelated iron...

The trout have only been fed sporadically over the last week, as the owner has been away... probably just not quite enough nutrients in the system for the number of plants and the rampant growth...

Installed an automatic feeder today... which should go someway to solving any problems...
