trying experiment with strawberries
1 lot in aquaponic growbeds,
1 lot in Hydroponic NFT
1 lot in large pots of perlite.

see which grows best and tastiest.

Question....strawbs in grow beds....there are some (most) berries have what looks like gravel rash from the growbeds, would a piece of plastic help this?

strawberries grew better for me in DWC baskets and not-NFT tubes.
The slugs and snails get them before you do in media....
The DWC and PVC tubes seem to go well - and seem to suit strawberries.

You should add a fourth - the Food&Fish manure wicking barrel (as per F&F thread)
I would put my money on that personally....

Ha ha have solved the snail problem, all around the inside edge of ploy house, around every pole/post holding anything up is a liberal layer of salt.. hmmm little buggas love it, well they must do cause they dont leave, they seem to find sleep and death very attractive.

Have over 150 strawberry plants growing, dont have room for DWC and Foodnfish one is still one the drawing board.

well yes and no. all over the ground, I have a gravel floor and snails likes it very much, but I don't like him/her/them so it's an invitation that...' you want to visit, sure but you won't leave alive'.

it's well away from strawberries, other plants and fish.
