How much pump needs to work

I wanted to set up intex 4000 gallon pool and grow in it 20 kg of common carp .i wanted to make shallow and long and wide salad ,tomato and strawberry deep water culture bed.i wanted to use one barrel and fill it with gravel as mechanical filter and bio filter.and i wanted to pump water with pond pump.i dont know how long should i put it to work.if somebody knows pls tell me

If you are asking about how much water to move through the pump? Basically the volume in the pool once per hour

so 1000-2000 Gallons/Hr

so every 2-3 hours would be fine as long as oxygen & circulation is being dealt with.
Plus he says carp so they are hardier than trout for example.

This is how many times the full volume of the pond is rotated. Darren is correct Carp are pretty forgiving fish to water quality.

you have to match your pump to the volume and it depends on how your system is set up...
(and any applicable flow loss due to lift head)

eg. if you have a 4000 GPH pump then you will get turnover of a 4000 Gallon tank in an hour, so you could probably run it for 1 hour on, one hour off quite easily. Or perhaps run it for a few hours 4 times a day.

If you had a 2000 GPH pump you probably need to run it for at least 2-3 hours once per day and for a couple of hours a few times a day.

If you have too many fish then you have to run it a lot more.
If you stock at a low-medium level you could run it a bit less....
