Heres a backyard aquaponics system just after installation.	When we say a "complete" system, thats exactly what it is, Bakyard Aquaponics systems are complete and running, there's nothing else you need to supply yourself, the cost of the system includes everything. All components of a backyard aquaponics system have been carefully tested to ensure they are the best quality, and best suited for the purpose. Most components in our systems have been tested over many years, and the system designs have been fine tuned over many years as well. These are not prototypes, they are food production systems designed and tested, and proven to work.
Backyard Aquaponics also believes in quality, we could just paint our growbed stands as it's cheaper, but all of our growbed stands are hot dip galvanized to ensure the best quality product. Our pumps are stainless steel Italian made, and most other major components are locally made in Western Australia. The growbeds have been specifically designed for use in aquaponics systems, they are produced from UV stabalized food grade HDPE, just like rainwater tanks.	This is the same system 10 weeks later.

The 4 Bed "Family System"
This layout is suitable for a long Narrow area, this requires an area of about 12m by 2.2m, ideal for along a fence.	This design is suited to an area 7m by 4m, great for under a patio.	Perfect for a long narrow area 10m by 2.5m  systems can be designed to suit any situation.
The 4 bed system is our standard home food production system. It's a versatile system that offers many options. For those that want the highest production levels, you can produce a crop of 100 Barramundi over summer, then 100 Trout over winter, by utilising the fingerling/sump tank to give your fingerlings a head start. If you prefer to keep it more simple you can grow slower growing silver perch, or even koi or goldfish in the main fish tank, and stock the fingerling tank with Yabbies or Marron. This system will provide at least one meal of fish a week for a family of 4, as well as most of your fresh vegetable needs.  Complete 4 bed system now only $7525 Included in the system is the following: 4 x UV stabilized, food grade, HDPE, 500L growbeds 4 x Galvanised growbed stands 44 x bags of expanded clay 1 x 3000L Fish tank 1 x 500L Fingerling/sump tank 2 x Ebara Optima 250W S/S pump All irrigation fittings and pipe work required All drainage fittings and pipework required 1 x Battery backed up air pump 1 Backyard Aquaponics book/DVD/CD-Rom Vial of beneficial bacteria 1 Bag fish feed 1 fresh water master test kit You can install this yourself if you feel confident in your skills, or you can have our complete installation service. The complete installation provides you with the peace of mind that your aquaponic system will be working first time without any effort required by yourself. The complete installation kit includes the above as well as: Complete installation and initialization of your system 2 hours of personal instruction about your system 2 hours of ongoing support      The complete Family System, fully installed is available now for only $8850 within the metro area of Perth Western Australia.  Thats about the same as what most people might spend on a mass produced spa, without delivery and installation.  A couple of things to keep in mind if you're thinking about having a Backyard Aquaponics systems installed. Firstly before we can install a system for you, the area where the system will be installed has to be flat and level. Preferably with a solid base such as slabs, brick paving or concrete, but it can be installed on top of compacted dirt, though this will require paving brick to go under each leg of the growbed stands to distribute the weight. The area around the system could then be filled with mulch or crushed rock. Power will be required to run the pumps so there must be a power supply close by. It is recommended that your system be covered with a clear roof of some type, though it's not essential. Water will be required during installation for washing the growbed media, and for filling the system. Scheme water is generally ok, though bore water may require testing if you are unsure of the water quality. So you want a backyard Aquaponics system installed at your house? We will then design your system to suit your requirements using 3D software, and send you the plans and quotation to suit. The $160 will then be deducted from the final purchase price should you decide to go ahead with the system installation. Other sizes and configurations of systems are available, from one bed courtyard systems up to 5 or 6 bed deluxe systems.
